Welcome home Ava Grace

Well after 242 days, 3 states and 4 hospitals, we have FINALLY welcomed our little girl home!!

It was such a big day for all of us,  filled with many goodbyes from staff at blythedale,  discharge instructions, packing up and lots of pictures.

I know none of us are shocked about that last one! 

Blythedale has a tradition where the family rings a bell as they make their final walk down the hall. Providers lined the hallway and clapped for our girl. Mama may have not been able to keep it together! 

We were a nervous wreck driving her home but Daddy did an amazing job driving slow and steady! 

Gracie loved looking out the window at the trees. It was her first time in a car! 

Much to our surprise, we were welcomed home to yard signs and our parents waiting for us! It was so nice to see them there!! Originally we wanted a quiet homecoming (I didn't want to jinx it), but it was the perfect quiet celebration for our girl. 

We couldn't be more thrilled to start this next chapter,  right where she belongs.
